Silvano
Toso was born in Gorizia, Italy, near Trieste. As an
artist, Silvano has created hundreds of paintings in
Italy, Germany, Australia and in the US. He usually
paints in water colors, acrylics and in oils on canvas,
but lately he has been very busy in painting “affreschi”
or murals in restaurants and
private
homes.
Now he lives in Florida, US, where the beautiful weather
and the sea enriches his spirit, giving him plenty of
inspiration and charm. His colors are vivid, yet soft,
and he is fast. This last quality makes him very popular,
because he can finish an affresco on a 20’ x 8’
wall in a week-end, a portrait in oil on a 24”x
30” canvas in 3 hours, and a portrait in pencil
in 20 minutes.
His passion is landscapes, but he knows how to listen
and captures what his clients really want to have. He
has painted ancient Greek motifs, old Roman monuments,
Italian, Australian, German, American landscapes, replicas
of old Masters and hundreds of portraits live, or from
photographs.
